dog training collars?

March 11th, 2009 | by admin |

I have two dogs, a chi-pom and a pom, the chi-pom gets really jealous and upset when we don’t pay attn to her and she has recently started biting the corners of the wall, at first we didn’t notice but now its getting out of control. Because my pom sees her doing it, he now does it too. Just today I found that they have started biting and scratching a hole in the wall. They are both under 6 lbs. and I want to use a training shock collar on them so that they will stop. Any other suggestions???

Trust me - absolutely no shock collar. They are inhumane, you may end up with burns or worse. I would suggest dog repellent (maybe you could try lemon juices), you can find it in many pet stores. Spray it into where your dogs attack. Or you can give train them with stern voices, say ‘no’ loud and firm, it will do good if your dog is very loyal. It takes some time out of the habit. Try to equal the time they spend with you each. Another way like shock collar is to fill the water into a ’sqeezing’ bottle and once you see you dogs do it, wet them a little with short and sharp sprays. VERY IMPORTANT, praise your dogs when they stop and respond. If you just yell and walk away, they thinks you don’t care about them, honestly. Well, good luck and I hope your dogs stops the habit! ;o)!
